What we do
Each month the Probuilder Team give back to the community using their construction skills and expertise through their Pay it Forward program.
Launched on International Pay it Forward Day, we are part of a worldwide movement sharing kindness and making a positive difference locally. The ripple effect of kindness, multiplied by millions of people globally can make the world a brighter place.
Through community support programs we are able to nominate how we can help people in Brisbane with small building and maintenance projects.
Our story
ProBuilder have been building, renovating and repairing homes for over 32 years across South East Queensland and on reflection of this success Jim and Rose want to volunteer and give back to the community.
Together they explored a number of opportunities – from being a volunteer driver for local community groups to supporting local food bank groups and more. Then it became clear that they can be of most use doing what they do best.
Supporting local residents to revitalise their homes functionality, liveability and appearance – hence ProBuilder Pay it Forward was born.
CURRENT PROJECT
We are pleased to Pay it Forward to Hummingbird House, Queensland’s only children’s hospice and one of only three children’s hospices in Australia.
Hummingbird House is an organisation that is very dear to our hearts and the hearts of hundreds of Queensland families. They provide a medically supported home away from home for children with a life-limiting condition and their families comprising short break stays, family support, physical and creative therapies, care at the end of life and after death, and ongoing bereavement support.
The ProBuilder Pay it Forward team have volunteered their services to assist Hummingbird House carry out some much needed repairs on their family accommodation suites as well as tackle some problem areas in the House that no one has been able to solve. As a team that love a challenge we have put our hands up for these difficult tasks and are committed to finding a workable solution for them!
We look forward to carrying out these repairs so that Hummingbird House families can continue to make memories is this very special place.
Hummingbird House is a place that brings families together and provides an opportunity to breath out – without the day to day demands of caring for their child. It’s a place that allows families to spend quality time together, reconnect, and make memories – recognising that every second with their child is precious. It’s a place where parents and carers can recharge by getting some much needed downtime and rest – letting us care for them, as they care for their loved ones.
Your donation to Hummingbird House will ensure Queensland families can continue to access specialist paediatric palliative services when they need them, where they need them.
