Thankyou to ProBuilder for the much needed rebuild of the back deck at my house.The entire process, from the initial contact to the conclusion of the work, including the first inspection of the existing structure, the planning , the... implementation and the successful conclusion, was all undertaken with an exemplary degree of professionalism. The high level of competence, attention to detail, punctuality, reliability, courtesy, and excellent communication continued throughout the build. At the conclusion of every day the site was left immaculately clean and tidy.The project was scheduled to begin as the COVID-19 lockdown was announced. The ProBuilder team took every precaution to implement and ensure complete safety and compliance with regulations. About 5 years ago I contacted Jim at ProBuilder to do some maintenance on my house.

As a builder and project manager, you understood our vision, worked in partnership with us and delivered a high quality project, on-time and on-budget. We also achieved a ‘no stress’ renovation much to the surprise of friends, family and work colleagues.
We had already lived in our home for 5 years in what we considered to be small house with solid bones and had explored all options including a full demolition and start again, sell and buy elsewhere, a small renovation or a major extension/renovation of the existing home. We were initially very apprehensive of doing a major renovation after watching many renovation shows and listening to friends go through stressful cost blowouts. You were able to convince us otherwise and we were pleased as that meant not wasting precious materials such as the existing hardwood floors.
We got the impression early on that you were listening to what we had to say and that it was valuable to build a successful working relationship. As the project progressed it was clear you understood intuitively what the vision for our home was, particularly which materials and finishes we would be happy with. It was easier for us to make decisions as a result.
Here are a few points that worked for us:

- Whilst you had a network of professionals, trades and suppliers, you were happy for us to source services and materials where we had contacts, or use a combination such as engineering, kitchen and bathroom supplies;

- You had a good network of expert suppliers and consultants that helped us with choices in design and materials;

- You managed and controlled your sub-contractors well. Your sub-contractors were always polite and attentive to us whilst on-site and listened if we wanted something and fully aware that you were in charge of the project.

- If we wanted to talk about anything or if we wanted to meet on-site to talk through works, you were willing to do so. Even if this was us just wanting to feel comfortable with progress.

- The site was tidy and clean at all times which was important to us.

- Where any issues arose you were skilled at problem solving and providing options to use for a quick resolution.

- You had a clear project plan that you shared with us and you did what was written in the plan. The plan was realistic and it helped us understand the dependencies of timing around different trades on site and the time frames. This gave us clear guidance as to when we had to make material choices such as tile choices, paint colours and fittings.
6 months on we are enjoying our lovely ‘new’ home and are very happy we made the decision to invest with your company. We wish you all the success in your future business and would not hesitate to recommend you highly to others.‘

‘Our initial contact with Jim McIntyre was as a result of a BSA dispute application in regard to a water incursion problem into our property. Jim was engaged to rectify the problem on behalf of the BSA. His conduct throughout this period was exemplary. He identified the necessary scope of works required to resolve the issue and actioned the works most professionally with a very competent level of communication throughout the process. Because of this very positive experience we again engaged Jim’s company when we required extensive works at our property.
Our contract included further water proofing works across our roof and doorways and refurbishment of internal floors. The works required Jim to conduct an extensive degree of investigation into the causes of the problem and liaison with other contractors in identifying the most efficient timing of the specific works. Jim was able to very efficiently organise the contractors and administer the works.
The site imposed a number of difficulties in regard to access, public health & safety and general amenity of neighbours. Jim and his tradesmen were very conscious of the above and there were few, if any, issues arising during the period of the works.The overall outcome was a most pleasing series of works combining to produce a very credible outcome. We will have little hesitation in engaging Jim for any future projects we require at our property.’
